How about great Mediterranean food in Manhattan.  Rocco DiSpirito is doing a pop-up restaurant on  the rooftop terrace of Mondrian Park Avenue. On behalf of sbe, this New York hotel is managed by Journal Hotels, led by that great New York foodie Stephen Brandman. “Stephen and I always planned to reunite and we decided to use this opportunity to help rebuild New York City,” says Rocco DiSpirito. “We want to create a place for New Yorkers to come to experience the type of cuisine and hospitality they are used to and support the organizations that do important work, like City Harvest, New York City’s largest food rescue organization.” A percentage of profits is being given to City Harvest.

Also on the announcement side, it can finally be revealed that Xavier Lablaude returns to Europe: after highly successful years running Belmond Mount Nelson in Cape Town, he is new GM of Belmond Cadogan Hotel, London.
