Girlahead has already written about The Peninsula’s corporate Live Lived Best wellness initiative. Let us look at one hotel, THE PENINSULA BEIJING – see image above.  Under the guidance of GM Cameron Cundle, special guest experiences cover fitness, mindfulness, and nutrition. There’s a dedicated Wellness Portal and 24-hour Wellness Concierge service. A Life Lived Best Staycation includes Naturally Peninsula breakfast daily and a set dinner in the Lobby – such an imposing space, dominated by 30 white marble stairs leading to the next floor. Staycationers also get something called a Bath and Bedtime Sleep Journey, and an hour long private training session. Of course access to gym and pool is free, as it is for all guests, and, as is The Peninsula norm, you can check in as early as 6:00 am and check out as late as 10:00 pm. At the 230-key hotel, Girlahead especially likes the 100q m end suites, either numbers -00 or -60.

She has just spent an invigorating day at a regional meeting of Preferred Hotels & Resorts, hosted by THE LONDONER. This oh-so-central hotel is ideal for fitness fans. Trek south to Trafalgar Square, or further to The Thames and/or The Houses of Parliament.  Back home, there’s a superb pool with built-in vitality, and the adjacent gym, a utilitarian serious-business work-out room, is well-equipped Technogym. Walk Rome’s Coliseum before croissants in Whitcomb’s.
