FOODIE FLINGS

The beautiful Bombay Blazer at  TAJ MAHAL PALACE MUMBAI, above, is a mix of Bombay Sapphire, rosé, and guava juice. This is the cocktail that Girlahead would take to the balcony of the hotel’s third floor Rajput Suite balcony overlooking the floodlit Gateway of India arch. John Lennon, and, separately, Ravi Shankar stayed in this suite.

In Nice, stay in your NEGRESCO suite on 19th April while kids, from four up, take part in the hotel’s third Art Kids Company workshop. All afternoon long, they work with artist Youssef Boubekeur, drawing, making masks and acting-out Animals in Disguise. Adults can enjoy a peaceful three hours, perhaps have private dining afternoon and a flute or two, or merely looking across the Corniche at the blue Mediterranean

Just-opened SIX SENSES ROME is a conversion of the 18th century Palazzo Salviati Cesi Mellini on Via Del Corso. The 95-room beauty’s main restaurants are BIVIUM Restaurant-Café-Bar – see the fourth century tiles beneath its glass floor – or the rooftop NOTOS. Besides the Roman Empire-inspired five-course tasting menu, dishes include plant-based, meat, fish, and sweet classics with Sicilian touches.  In between each glorious meal think of heading to the spa, which uses Biologique Recherche, Seed to Skin, Organic Pharmacy, and Subtle Energy.

In London, Wolfgang Puck personally fronted the Spago pop-up at Dorchester Collection’s 45 PARK LANE. That guy’s a trooper, as Girlahead discovered when both were ‘doctored’ at Johnson & Wales in Newport RI. Her award was for services to literature. His, for food, was undoubtedly much more useful to homo sapiens in general.
