SYBARITIC SINGLE SALUTES A CHRISTIAN – DIOR, THAT IS

For more than a decade, the Sybaritic Single has been only wearing Dior every single day of his life – a total look. This weekend he accepted an invitation to spend a few days in Cairo and attend the fall 2023 collection presentation, as well as a carousel of lunches, dinners, a few cultural activities and several cocktails. He skipped the belly dancing part.
Cairo’s Four Seasons, St. Regis and The Ritz-Carlton all braced to host the 600 guests who flocked from all over the world. For the Sybaritic Single, it was the first time to be back in Cairo since 1997 – a very few things have changed, Cairo still remains a mixture of chaos and old-age nostalgia.
The grand Four Seasons The Nile Plaza, where he took residence, wasn’t an exception yet its service was flawless despite hundreds of guests who arrived and departed around the same time, ordered Champagne and shoe polishing (after exploring sights of Coptic Cairo and walking through the old town) non-stop. Thankfully, the Sybaritic Single was always cordoned off from the riff-raff a velvet rope and several burly bouncers – a thoughtful consideration at busy Cairo bazaars.
And since everyone made an effort to come to Cairo, Dior presented not one but two collections: the first capsule at the yet-to-open Grand Egyptian Museum while the main show took place at the Great Pyramids the following night. Naomi Campbell, Sehun, Lewis Hamilton and Lila Moss seemed delighted to be there – the scene could not be more grand.
It remains unknown to the Sybaritic Single whether Monsieur Dior travelled to Egypt himself, but he would be definitely proud of the current team in charge of his House.
