Sybaritic Single returns to Monte-Carlo

Suite breakfast

The Sybaritic Single enjoys luxury hotels that allow him to live at his own pace. Every February he returns to Monte-Carlo where he most often takes residence at his long-time favourite, Hôtel de Paris. The top luxury establishment of the principality is finally almost ready, with the newest additions of the exceptional 600 square metre Prince Rainier III Suite, plus Alain Ducasse’s second restaurant in Monaco, called Ômer (there is also a soon-to-be-presented hotel guest-only gym with outdoor swimming pool).

Curious to discover Ducasse’s latest breakfast concept, the Sybaritic Single changed his morning routine and made an effort to arrive at Ômer, above, before 10:30 for an à la carte start of the day. The petit déjeuner was very different from the one served at Alain Ducasse au Plaza Athénée, which the Sybaritic Single rates the best in the world. His omelet with Champignon de Paris and fresh herbs was flawless yet it were the viennoiseries that were stale and lacked any inspiration. He believes things will improve once the hotel’s own bakery is fully operational within a couple of months.
Having ticked Ômer off the list, the Sybaritic Single returned to his usual morning routine at this luxury hotel: two early hours in Thermes Marins before the crowds begin to arrive followed by a very leisurely room service breakfast on the balcony until early afternoon. After all, chilled Champagne and caviar is all that he needs to properly start a day – anywhere in the world – and he enjoys doing it at his own pace in the comfort of his suite.
