Talise Spa breakfast at PierChic
One week ago – Sunday November 9th, 2014, Jumeirah hosted a very special event at one of its luxury hotels in Dubai. It was tenth annual release of turtles, weighing five to 70 kilos and all cossetted and nourished by this concerned hospitality group. This year, says the gal, the release was timed to coincide with the start of the seventh World Economic Forum Dubai, November 9-11, 2014, organised with the Government of the UAE and the Government of Dubai, which saw over a thousand participants from 80 countries.
As always, Jumeirah hosted its event, before the Forum started. The turtles were released off Madinat Jumeirah beach, and then the President and Group CEO of Jumeirah, one of the world’s two best known expat Irishmen (golfer Rory McIlroy is from Holywood, one L, UK), Gerald Lawless, invited a few friends to a healthy Talise Spa breakfast at PierChic, the fabulous boardwalk restaurant off the beach. Those enjoying this appetising fare included, not surprisingly, Mr Davos, also known as the founder of the World Economic Forums, Klaus Schwab, and his wife Hilde, and Céline Cousteau, daughter of Jean Michel Cousteau and thus granddaughter of Jacques Cousteau and, in her own right, founder of CauseCentric Productions. Girlahead salutes Jumeirah for organising such a worthwhile event.
