The gal was walking through Paris’ current Winter Wonderland, all set up for Christmas – and glorious it all is, too.  Now is the time to support Paris, come here, please – there are Christmas markets along Champs Elysées, as above, and elsewhere (one of Europe’s finest luxury hotels, The Peninsula Paris opens its inside market on December 1st, 2016).

I walked and walked and my feet ached and then, what a lovely surprise.  I was talking to Luca Allegri, boss of Le Bristol Paris, and he introduced me to the king of podiatry, Bastien Gonzalez. Ever since I first had a Bastien foot treatment, at the then-One&Only Kanifushi in the Maldives, I have raved about this foot experience.  It is podiatry plus chiropody plus massage and afterwards you feel as if you are floating over the world.  Yes, says Bastien, I am real. Where are he and his team going to open next?  I cannot wait.  Any luxury hotel that can climb into his deliberately-select portfolio is on to a good thing – every woman of the world who knows the best will rush there, straightaway.
