Romance brings beauty. Even a phantom of the opera kinda fellow appears beautiful to someone in love. The Greeks said beauty is in the eyes of the beholder in the 3rd century BC. In 1588 Shakespeare penned, in Love’s Labours Lost,
‘Beauty is bought by judgement of the eye’.
OK, back to romance today. Think a romantic resort like FOUR SEASONS NEVIS, which is helped by having a supportive local tourist board – see a promotional image above. ‘With its pristine beaches, lush tropical landscapes, and intimate ambiance, the island is the ultimate destination for romance,’ says the CEO of Nevis Tourism Authority, Devon Liburd. ‘Nevis offers an unparalleled setting where love blossoms amidst the beauty of nature and the tranquility of paradise.’
Why is it that Caribbean nations have such proactive tourist boards? Admittedly Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Istanbul and Saudi Arabia are close behind, as are Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia. Now watch what Macau will do – that could be a thing of beauty, too.
