The silver ‘tear’ in the gardens of THE PENINSULA ISTANBUL appears to be like a giant, hand-blown, glass bauble.  It’s a reminder of one of Miami’s many art fairs when someone lent against a silver glass exhibit and it shattered. Here’s crossing fingers. Girlahead loves this piece – like Frank Samara’s Glass House, a walk-in mirrored construction at the Albright-Knox in Buffalo NY, its impossible to take a photo without being in it. RVP and GM Jonathan Crook tried, again and again, but he, and a reflection of his amazing hotel appeared in every shot.

This piece of art is the ultimate selfie shot. Where are other superb selfie shots? The falls outside HUKA LODGE in Taupo, close ups of Opera Garnier from some top-floor suites at LE GRAND INTERCONTINENTAL PARIS, the Ken Fulk-designed elevator lobby at THE NEWBURY BOSTON, the grand staircase at the forthcoming RAFFLES OWO LONDON, bedroom art at THE SILO CAPE TOWN. The list actually is endless.
