Girlahead is really warming to Rocco Forte Hotels. London’s Brown’s Hotel is specatular and now that the company has got 49% of equity held by Saudi Arabia’s PIF there’s no stopping this family company.
Yesterday it announced management of the 1535-vintage Palazzo Caravita di Sirignano in Naples (it’s next to the Villa Pignatelli museum). After a significant Michele Bonan re-do, undoubtedly overseen by Olga Polizzi, it will re-open 2027 as a Rocco Forte Hotel. The Palazzo has been owned since 2018 by Nunzio Colella and his family (they are owners of fashion brands Alcott and Gutteridge).
Actually it’s not only hotels that are leading the Forte name forward. One of Sir Rocco’s daughters, Irene Forte, is doing magnificent things with Irene Forte Skincare, which is backed by L. Catterton. Irene Forte’s medical director is Dr Francesca Ferri, a pioneer in medical use of plant extracts and core ingredients for the Natura e Scienza range that are harvested at the company’s organic farm in Sicily. The products LOOK marvellous, they FEEL marvellous on the skin – and now Girlahead just hopes THE RESULTS will be marvellous too (insider tip, the Almond Cleansing Milk is so luscious one feels like Cleopatra taking a bath).
