Simply Sunday, and the fun of thinking about art, a sense of humour, and luxury lifestyle. Indulge your passion, gal.
This is a plate by American artist Jeff Koons. The original, called Balloon Dog, was first made in 1992 and is now exhibited in MOCA, Los Angeles.
It is cast porcelain, coated with a blue reflective finish and attached to the porcelain plate that is also coated with mirrored, reflective finish.
Several of the limited edition of 2,300 are in the boutique at the amazing Le Royal Monceau, Raffles Paris. This hotel sells things for people of all ages, all tastes.
For dog lovers, you can buy a cuddly dog toy, The Cunning Dog by Villac, by Keith Haring. There are books by artist William Wegman about dogs.
And if you are travelling with a dog that weighs under six kilos, the hotel welcomes it (and you). It gets a pet basket and a dog menu created by the luxury hotel’s top chef, Laurent André.
Because of the hotel’s location, on Avenue Hoche, it can also arrange for top canine couturier Marie Poirier to come in to design exclusive bespoke fashion (for it, not you), and accessories. Lifestyle for four-legs, darling.
The hotel also works with a bilingual English-French dog clinic, just for you (sorry, ‘ it’, the pouch).
It is simply wonderful being a dog these days.
