Make the most of every opportunity is one of the maxim’s of luxury travel life. It is tempting to have a day off.
There you might be, say, in Nairobi, knowing that you can lie around the lovely Hotel Norfolk and have no meetings, nothing to do, merely time.
But then you get an offer you cannot refuse. Fly up to Mount Kenya Safari Club for the day, says Serge Simard, who heads Africa and the Indian Ocean for Fairmont (which happens to run both the Norfolk and also the Mount Kenya Safari Club).
So of course you say yes, you fly to The Equator for lunch, not missing that opportunity.
