Private jets soar, selling in the garden, sail and take a train

In the 1967 movie The Graduate, Dustin Hoffman (Ben Braddock) was told the secret of future professional success was plastic.  In our new world that key to unlocking mega business return is private jets. Despite lock-down, global giant Jetex saw July 2020 demand up more than 200% over July 2019. And in Omaha NE Warren Buffett is laughing, yet again. Having bought NetJets for $725 million in 1998 and then, in 2012, investing a further $18 billion in new planes, it is said that two days ago he bought a further 60 long-haul jets. As Jetex’ Oleg Kafarov says, the rich will switch to flying private and demand continues to soar.

And it is not only private jets as we know’em. Richard Branson may see Virgin Atlantic file for bankruptcy in the USA but, nonetheless, this entrepreneur – he who set up a newspaper as a teenage school boy at Stowe in England (question, why didn’t he go to Abingdon) – is now, after establishing at least three subsonic Virgin airlines, still, supposedly, working on something different. As well as his planned boomerang space trips, up and down, he is still talking about using that Virgin Galactic brand also to work on supersonic private planes. He is envisaging 19-passenger Mach 3 aircraft, with Rolls-Royce engines.

Here is a clever idea. In La Jolla CA, Estancia, a Meritage Collection hotel, has created a Secret Garden in its ten acre grounds (see image above). And what Girlahead finds really fascinating is that every Saturday and Sunday local vendors bring special things, to sell, in the Garden.  Other innovations here include Games & Garden Butlers, picnics that come not only with your choice of wine but also such take-home games as 39 Questions in Love. And, Saturday mornings at 10 a.m., take part in aroma flow with Yonka Hydrating Aromatherapy Mist, which enriches the body through the natural flora scents.
