Well well well – Girlahead went to a poolside party last night, or rather her avatar, Miss Virtual, ‘went’. It was hosted by Kempinski as part of its ongoing-but-occasional events for luxury movers and shakers, and this event featured Catalonian DJ Gigi El Amoroso on The Art of Relaxation, streamed by M-X Cloud’s Poolside Recordings. The invitation arrived as a tin-box road sign, showing Girlahead’s route from home to the Champagne area. Inside was a bottle of Veuve Clicquot. Interestingly, this ‘gift’ was the idea of, and facilitated, by Clos 19, based in London. The company, girlahead later found out, was started in 2017 by Stephanie Watine Arnault, the highly-educated (think INSEAD) niece of Bernard Arnault, boss of LVMH, owner of Veuve Clicquot. Clever, and win-win.
Girlahead has been to Champagne many many times and BOY has she drunk a lot of Veuve Clicquot in her short life. She has also had the pleasure and honour of staying in nearly all Kempinski’s eponymous and NUO hotels – there are still many properties to visit in China – see Michael Henssler, below. She also has to pass the Kármán Line, which would involve going up at least 100 km from earth to what constitutes ‘space’. That is where Jeff Bezos is going, on 20th July, taking as one of his companion on his New Shepard spacecraft his brother Mark Bezos, founder of HighPost Capital and a volunteer fireman in Westchester County, immediately north of New York City. Another traveller on that flight will be the highest bidder among the 6,000 who have already bid up to $2.8 million for the seat.
And so, enough for today. Hear Michael Henssler, on Kempsinki, here below:
