A Geneva luxury hotel offers winter Alpine warmth

An authentic chalet feel

Mandarin Oriental, Geneva, once again opens a wooden chalet – from next Tuesday, November 21st, 2017, through to March 18th, 2018, Café Calla evolves into a mountain-style winter retreat in the heart of city. A la carte specialties will include carefully selected delights from the local countryside, including air-dried Grisons meat, Gruyère and Vacherin fondue any style served with steamed potatoes; with bacon, mushrooms or truffle. This years’ special is the Indian fondue made with red onions, green pepper, curry and fresh coriander. Zurich-style veal and Meringue with Gruyère cream are among the other traditional dishes available on the menu. The chalet was designed by Alex Lehder, working with Bavarian mobile specialists Millennium Visions. This is the fourth year that this winter chalet has been installed and, as always, discerning Geneva residents and visitors head here, for the seasonal best.
