Entire Travel Group has revealed an expansion of its portfolio with the launch of Maldives Travel Connection, a new dedicated wholesale brand providing travel agents with unrivalled expertise on one of the world’s most alluring destinations.
Maldives Travel Connection is now offering an extensive range of products and services, with its first brochure featuring more than 40 four- and five-star hotels and resorts spread throughout the Maldivian archipelago.
Properties and tours cater to a range of budgets and customer profiles, including families, couples and soft adventure enthusiasts. Among the many accommodation options likely to resonate with Australian travellers is the ‘Liveaboard’ – a selection of well-appointed boats that voyage around the Maldives’ 26 atolls (on pre-designed or custom-made itineraries) in search of ideal diving and/or surfing spots.
As with all Entire Travel Group brands, travel agents working with Maldives Travel Connection will enjoy the full support of specialist consultants with first-hand experience of the destination.
The launch of the new Maldives program follows the merger, effective 1 July 2018, of Entire Travel Group and CIT Holidays – a move that created a powerful new specialist wholesale group offering unparalleled expertise in travel to Europe, North America and the Pacific.
With the addition of Maldives Travel Connection, the Entire Travel Group now operates a stable of nine specialist wholesale brands including French Travel Connection, Tahiti Travel Connection, CIT Holidays and Canada & Alaska Specialist Holidays.
Entire Travel Group Chief Executive Brad McDonnell says Maldives Travel Connection is a natural extension of the company’s unique product range.
“We have extensive experience in selling island destinations but what really distinguishes all our brands is the depth of knowledge and level of expert support they provide our travel agent partners,” says McDonnell.
“The Maldives is an increasingly popular destination but also a complex one. While it offers visitors a broad range of outstanding properties, they are scattered across thousands of coral islands and serve different markets. Only a dedicated Maldives wholesaler can provide the insight and understanding required to help agents confidently find the right product for their customers,” McDonnell added.
“I am delighted that Maldives Travel Connection can now fulfil that role.”
McDonnell told LATTE that the Maldives offers an “extraordinary array of luxury accommodation and tours.”
The Australian market has been lacking a specialist wholesaler offering high-end product in a dedicated program. Our team of specialists not only boasts direct relationships with these luxury properties and tour providers, it fully understands the needs of the travel retailers serving this important consumer segment. I have no doubt that together we can grow this luxury destination in the Australian market,
Entire Travel Group CEO Brad McDonnell.
Among the properties featured is the One&Only Reethi Rah, Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa, Conrad Maldives Rangali Island and W Maldives.
The new 68-page Maldives Travel Connection brochure will shortly be available through TIFS.
