Simply Sunday’s message today is that GIRLAHEAD BELIEVES IN ENTERTAINMENT. It pulls in the crowds, and crowds mean money. Look at the image above, at London’s Apollo Theatre. Two weeks ago the Duke of Wessex, HRH Prince Edward, was guest of honour at the Travel Event Of The Decade, so far. Thanks to organiser Nicola Butler, owner of Noteworthy, London promoted its luxury hotels to arguably the best luxury travel advisors in the USA. The culmination of their weekend in London saw them seated in the Apollo for a short speech by HRH and two equally-short routines by the stars of SIX, the rivetting show on the six wives of Henry VIII. The resulting photo does actually include Girlahead but even she can barely find herself….
More entertainment. Who will take on Daniel Craig’s role as the world’s most famous super-spy – JAMES BOND? Apparently media-man and Jack of all trades Piers Morgan, 56 and now helping the even-older Rupert Murdoch launch talkTV, has already declared his interest. The former Good Morning Britain presenter posted a pic in a traditional 007 pose outside London’s Burlington Arcade and William Hill subsequently ranked his odds at 1,000/1.
If SPORT IS ENTERTAINMENT, think the Navarro family. Scion Frank Navarro remains an American football legend. One of his multitude of offspring, Ben Navarro, tried unsuccessfully to own a team but he does own a tennis club and all Ben’s four kids are tennis champs – daughter EMMA NAVARRO IS #2 IN USA. Ben Navarro fortunately has done extremely well, too, in the business world. He has this week BOUGHT BELMOND CHARLESTON PLACE in his hometown base, Charleston SC, and he has announced he will invest yet more millions in refurbishment.
Some regular cruisers RATE A COMPANY BY THE QUALITY OF AFTER-DINNER SHOWS. For Girlahead, one of the many joys of being at sea is breakfasting outside on the rear deck terrace and watching the ocean’s wake disappearing into the distance. On that tack, listen hear to one of the most insightful leaders in cruise hospitality:
