PEARLS IN DIFFERENT FORMS

THE REGENT HONG KONG opens tomorrow, Thursday 16th, and Girlahead cannot WAIT to experience it (wow, three days ago there were no new-look Regents and now there are two!). There was a magnificent preview of the style and service that Michel Chertouh and his colleagues offered at the Hong Kong hotel, when Robb Report Hong Kong, led by its high-profile Publisher Tak Man, held its opening gala there, Saturday 11th February 2023. Men wore black tie, girls donned pearls and much more. See a memory, above, which includes the hotel’s boss, Michel Chertouh.

The timing of that gala, and the hotel’s opening, turn out to have been so well timed. Masks are no longer necessary and, says Chertouh, the city is gradually getting back to its amazing rhythm.

As if by opposite extreme, Sofitels worldwide are winding down, as if temporarily. Apparently this Friday, 17th February, sees St Patrick – whose day it is – having to share centre stage with #WorldSleepDay. The Accor company launches “Sofitel’s Do’s & Don’ts for a Bonne Nuit”.

“Creating a healthy balance of body and mind is one of the cornerstones for one’s overall sense of well-being and achieving a restorative sleep is an imperative part of the equation,” says Emlyn Brown, Global Vice-President, Well-Being, Accor.  “Sleep is the crowning touch of a well-balanced lifestyle and through proper nourishment, daily movement and mindfulness activities, sustaining a regular good night’s rest is attainable.”

Expect Sofitel Spa  L’Occitane’s Sleep & Reset 90-minute massage at such locations as Dubai’s SOFITEL THE OBELISK and SOFITEL THE PALM, plus SOFITEL MAURITIUS L’IMPERIAL. At SOFITEL SYDNEY DARLING HARBOUR you can order a bath which has pearls of caviar… so, good night.
