BAHA MAR RISES

Hot news?  Yes, what is NEW? Well, as long-announced, ILTM North America starts next Monday, 19th September, and runs through to the 22nd.  As has been usual for the last ten years, it will be anchored at FAIRMONT MAYAKOBA, with support from Mayakoba’s other resorts, ANDAZ, BANYAN TREE and ROSEWOOD. The hot news is that next year it will move to BAHA MAR in the Bahamas,18 – 21 September 2023.

Frankly, Simon Mayle, Event Director, ILTM North America, has, with his team and working closely with ILTM’s Portfolio Director Alison Gilmore, done such a good job in growing the show that it has outgrown its decade-long home. Not only can Baha Mar offer outstanding   infrastructure, rooms, restaurants and networking spaces but airlift from across the USA and Europe is exceptional.

Long-time Rosewood leader Graeme Davis is President of Baha Mar, developed by Sarkis Izmirlian  and now owned by the Cheng family’s Chow Tai Fook Enterprises  . The $3.5 billion, 1,119-acre complex, on the site of the former Harrisons Point US Naval Base, consists of GRAND HYATT BAHA MA, ROSEWOOD BAHA MAR and SLS. It also has a brand new luxury water park, Baha Bay and its 45 restaurant concepts feature such celeb chefs as Daniel Boulud and Marcus Samuelsson.

ILTM North America is part of Reed Exhibitions, officially RX, which in all organises, every year, 400 events in 22 countries across 43 industry sectors. RX is part of RELX PLC, a global provider of information-based analytics and decision tools for professional and business customers in more than 180 countries. It trades on the London (REL), Amsterdam (REN) and New York (RELX) Exchanges and its market cap is approximately £33bn, €39bn, $47bn.

And while we’re talking Big Figures, let’s listen to a newcomer in the luxury customer service stakes, Amruda Nair. Within 48 hours of her appearance on MARY GOSTELOW GIRLAHEAD PODCAST it had reached 801,473, in at least 153 countries.
