Oberoi’s Ajman debut
Oberoi Al Zorah, Ajman, will help put this Emirate of the UAE on the luxury tourist map when it opens March 2017. Smallest size of the 113 rooms is 1,100 sq ft (there are two Royal Suites, each 3,500 sq ft). The hotel, run by GM Burkhard Wolter, has its own beach, and as well as playing the Jack Nicklaus-designed Al Zorah golf course there is tennis, and bird-watching – the 59 varieties include pink flamingoes. Ajman is under half an hour from its more famous sibling Emirate, Dubai.
