ST MORITZ launches its Christmas market on Sunday, 5th December 2021, and on the same day the second stage of the Tales of Tree Christmas light show takes off with a new adventure. It is a heart-warming Christmas tale for children and adults, created in partnership with Oliver Conrad, the international director of animated films, who is a ‘son of St. Moritz’. The film with musical accompaniment will be projected on to the façade of the Town Hall at sunset every day until 9 January 2022.
The Winter Opening Weekend of 10–12 December 2021 marks the official launch of St Moritz’s winter season. The Alpine metropolis is hosting the Audi FIS Ski World Cup St. Moritz with two Ladies Super-G races. Further attractions include famous music acts, with open-air concerts by Italian icon Umberto Tozzi (“Gloria”), “What is Love” singer Haddaway and Latin-pop vocal phenomenon Lou Bega (“Mambo No. 5”). This soundtrack to the weekend is sure to create a rousing party atmosphere and take audiences on a nostalgic trip back to the 1980s and 90s.
St Moritz’s best-known luxury hotel is BADRUTT’S PALACE, where Girlahead has enjoyed many memorably happy stays – she loves lake-view suite 310. Named for a builder’s son Johannes Badrutt, 1819-89, who opened it in 1896, today the 163-room Leading hotel has a large number of repeat guests, particularly among the old-money clientele that likes Switzerland during the hotel’s Summer season. Congratulations to hotel MD Richard Leuenberger for many things, including one of the best REAL-PAPER MAGAZINES, Tower, in the entire luxury lifestyle world.
