Girlahead loves Munich, the home of Oktoberfest and so much more. It’s also the location of the next Virtuoso International Symposium. Above is the rotunda at VIER JAHRESZEITEN KEMPINSKI, one of the host hotels (this is the one with a humidor where fresh air circulates the whole time, drawn up through minute vents in the ceiling to re-emerge as cleaned air through vents in the floor).
Munich continues to attract big names. The forthcoming ROSEWOOD MUNICH, opening next year, will have Roeland Duerr as MD (he’s moving from Abu Dhabi). Owned by the mighty Schörghuber enterprise, the 132-key hotel, which opens in 2023, is a conversion of the 18th century Palais Neuhaus-Preysing and the adjacent 19th century headquarters of the State Bank of Bavaria.
